The Shack Movie

Few weeks ago, we as family watched this movie "The Shack" at our parish church.
The movie was incredible good and mama decided to write in this blog so that Tromson may watch it in the future when he's grown up.

The synopsis :
After suffering a family tragedy, Mack Phillips spirals into a deep depression that causes him to question his innermost beliefs. Facing a crisis of faith, he receives a mysterious letter urging him to an abandoned shack in the Oregon wilderness. Despite his doubts, Mack journeys to the shack and encounters an enigmatic trio of strangers led by a woman named Papa. Through this meeting, Mack finds important truths that will transform his understanding of his tragedy and change his life forever.

The message that mama received from this movie :
1. Our purpose of life is to be loved and to love
We are created as God image which God's nature is Love, so each of us is called to love as God loves us.
If we are fail to love or feel to be loved, there's must be something wrong within us. Perhaps it's painful experience, betrayal etc so we must come back to the source of Love and trust God to heal and renew us

2. Are we God ?
Eventhough we are God's perfect creation, we are not God. However because of the original sin from Adam and Eve, we like to take God's role to be God. We love to judge the good and the bad.
Unfortunately what we thought is good sometimes it clashes with other's good and end up the world becomes so chaotic

3. Our Future is with God
Without Him, we won't have future. We can't do everything by ourselves

4. Let it Go
To come back to our original call, we need to let go our pain and learn to forgive those who hurt us because God also loves those who hurt us and by forgiving them, we also setting them free so that God can redeem them from the evil

Hopefully, when Tromson's grown up, he can watch this movie again and find other meanings that come alive in his life

DIY Quiet books idea

Mommy made this quiet book to entertain Tromson in the church. He gets bored with stickers already so I thought it will be another good idea for him to keep still in church.
I made 2 sets of books with nursery rhymes as the theme.
Since I can't sew, I used printer and laminator and Velcro

Second self published book : Fruits and Vegetables

This is mommy's second self published book, dedicated to Tromson and koko Richie.
This time round is about Fruits and vegetables.

He can watch it continouesly for long period of time.
Of course mommy only let him watch during meal time or when mommy needs to do household chores to keep him still

Finally it's a wrap...

Some memorable collections from his first birthday will be a keepsake inside Treasure box. It will be given as a gift for his 21st Birthday

Four essentials toys for him to learn

At 1 year old, mommy only gives him four essential toys for him to master

 

1. Hammering activity

 

To stimulate hand eye coordination, currently he's able to knock some nails eventhough it's not perfect yet

 

2. Shape sorter

 

 

To stimulate fine motoric skill, hand eye coordination and learning about shapes
Currently he's mastering the circle shape and still learning other shapes

 

3. Push walker

To stimulate gross motoric skill to walk
He's only able to walk 2 steps with the walker since mommy just gives him try today

 

4. Cutting the fruits

 

To stimulate fine motoric skill and hand eye coordination
He's still exploring open and close the fruits and know the function of knife but still learning and practicing how to do it right

 

 

Bottlefed with NUK classic anti colic (Recommended)

Mommy knew this brand is by chance, 'cos the hospital gave mommy disposable teats which is NUK brand and daddy's friend gave us a gift which is bottle sterilizer NUK brand also.
And so far, Tromson has been using this anti colic teat and seldom burping after feeding.
It resembles the nipple and highly recommended too.

Finally we bought a stroller...

The biggest spending for baby so far is stroller.
Finally we bought it yesterday at Kiddy Palace, Combi WT250 orange colour.
Daddy and mommy liked it 'cos it's light weight, fully canopy and reversible handle.
The investment is S$359

Hopefully, Tromson likes the stroller too so it's not wasted hehehe....
