Weekend Getaway at Lembang (22 - 25 July 2017)

On the third week of July, we had short trip to Lembang to attend our relative's wedding.
We stayed at Family Villa for 2 nights and Grand Mercure hotel for one night.
The wedding itself was held at GH Universal hotel, stones away from where we stayed.

We had great family reunion time from daddy's side and we also enjoyed ourselves visiting rumah guk guk where we could feed some pet animals, took picture with variety of dogs.

We also went to Farm house and floating market for some plays.

In love with Chinese Language

Opposite with koko Richie, Tromson loves Chinese language.
He can recognize and memorise the Chinese words faster than English words.
We enrolled him for Chinese tuition at Berries Language Centre and without our asking, he will automatically review his Chinese lesson using magic pen all by himself.

Too bad, we couldn't converse with him in Chinese, otherwise he can excel well in Chinese.
We may help him using youtube video

Keep it up boy !

Holiday in Bali (7 - 14 June 2017)

This is Tromson's first Mid-year School Holiday and we decided to go to Bali.
We stayed at Oma Sian and Opa Ling's house and Opa Tjwan and Oma Happy flew from Semarang to join us.

Days before our departure, Tromson was sick by influenza virus and fortunately he was recovered just in time for holiday.
When we arrived in Bali, we were picked up by Oma Sian, Oma Happy and Opa Tjwan and we celebrated Oma Cho's 87th Birthday at home.

The next day we went to Bali Bidadari Batik where local artists drew pictures using traditional inks for Batik on white tshirt then we visited Penyu conservatory

On Friday 9 to Monday 12 June, mommy and daddy has short trip to Australia and left Tromson and brothers under Oma and Opa's care.
Oma Sian then brought Tromson and koko Richie to visit Tricked Eye Museum, nearby malls and beach.

It seemed that Tromson and koko Richie had a great time there.
When mommy and daddy came back, we visited Pandawa Beach and Hotel Mulia

It was a nice relaxing holiday eventhough we didn't do much there.

Overview of Term 1 and 2 Nursery 2 Life in a glance

Mommy had Parent Teacher's Meeting on Thursday, 2 days before school holiday starts and mommy has received nice compliments about Tromson from his teacher, Mrs Padman.

At first when he was just joining the school, he was very quiet boy, he didn't want to talk with anybody. He would do his tasks on his own sweet time.
His teacher was very puzzled whether he could understand English or Bahasa or whether he could speak in English. So his teacher tried different ways and spoke different language to get him to talk.

Eventually, when he was in toilet, his teacher heard him talking with his classmates in English and from that now on, she stopped speaking in Bahasa and spoke in English with Tromson.

He then improved a lot after felt comfortable with new environment. He loved school very much and enjoyed every activity there.

Here's some pictures of his N2 life on Term 1 and 2

Outdoor Exercise

This month we had two public holidays and we made use of the mornings with outdoor exercise.
On Labour day, we visited Bukit Timah Hill as we haven't been there for quite long.
It surprised us that it was very crowded around 9 am and the carpark was very full.
Fortunately, we got it one.
We underestimated the hills, without any warms up, we climbed up the steep hills by pushing the strollers.
We almost gave up, but we kept pushing on until reaching the first hut.

Then we continued our journey until the summit.
It was such achievement with 2 strollers and 3 kids.
After that we had brunch at the Grandstands for nice dimsum.

On Vesak day, we visited MacRitchie with Om Ferdi and Tante Friska. That morning was cloudy and drizzling, fortunately when we stepped out the car, the rain stopped and we could do our morning walk with peace and enjoying the scenery.

As usual, we had our brunch at the Grandstands after that
