Celebrating Chinese New Year

We had little family reunion dinner on Friday evening with iik intan at Charcoal Thai @321 Clementi
The food was so so and the service is okay. The soup was good though.

Then the next day we had lunch at bebek goreng Pak ndut and went to East Coast with our good friends Uncle Ivan's family
On the second day of Chinese New Year, we went to National Gallery with uncle Ivan's family and had dinner together at Tony Roma's after that

Then on the third day of Chinese New Year, we visited uncle Ferdinand and aunty Friska and had dinner at Chillis Sentosa with uncle Ivan's family.

Eventhough we are far from our family in Indonesia, but we are blessed with our friends family here

Celebrating Chinese New Year in School

On Thursday before Chinese New Year Celebration holiday, Tromson celebrated first in school.
He wore party clothes and big smiles.
He came back home with lots of sweets, handmade paper basket and two oranges

HFMD

Only few days after he went to school, he was infected with HFMD and end up staying at home for a week.
His appetite was not so bad eventhough his eating was a bit slow.
Fortunately he's recovered well just in time for Chinese New Year Celebration at school

Start schooling life (N2)

This year Tromson enrol to N2 at Maris Stella Kindergarten.
He was very excited from the first day of school. He went to school alone by school bus and mama and papa visited him secretly in school to see if he's settle down well there.

He seemed enjoyed very much and very excited in the morning to go to school by school bus.

Eventhough he didn't know his friends name yet but he knew his teacher Mrs Padman and assistant teacher Mrs Jessie.

Merry Christmas 2016

This year we celebrated with grandparents from Jakarta.
We attended Morning mass then we headed for lunch at Ichiban Sushi
After that we opened the presents under xmas tree

Imagination and creativity ( 3 yo 2 months)

New toy and new interest for Tromson - Mega Blocks
He can create based on his imagination
And these are some of his creations

Diaper FREE - Oh yes (3 years old)

Wohooo this is a milestone for Tromson - diaper FREE
It's the best gift of the year from Tromson that he's free from diaper day and night.
It took around 6 months on and off to train him to pee and poo in the toilet.
This time round, instead of using training pants, mommy's using diapers but always remind him every hour to pee in the toilet
Sometimes he remembers, sometimes he forgets, until one day his diaper is dry and he himself goes to the toilet to pee
And it's the same for night time, when his diaper is dry, I know that he's ready to take off the diaper forever

The challenge come when he wants to poo.
He has the habit to hide in the store room for poo, eventhough I have brainwashed him to poo in the toilet like koko but between the brain and the habit, they don't synchronise

Until one day, he said he wanted to poo and I ask him to poo in the toilet.
Voila, he made it for the first time and felt proud to break the habit and now it's easy peasy
wherever we go, when he wants to pee or poo, he will tell us and do it in the toilet

Well done Tromson, so proud of you !

Alphabet, Number and Color Recognition

At the age of 3 years old, Tromson is now able to recognize all alphabets, number from 1 - 10, colors
and even he can spell some easy words
He loves to read Peter and Jane book too

Happy 33rd Birthday Papa

Today is Papa's birthday and he has this beautiful song for Papa

Knowing about himself and family at 3 years old

This is basic social skill that he should know before entering school next year
So I ask him few questions about him and his family

Family Birthday Celebration

We had an unplanned visit from grandparents, because they are supposed to go to Holland and transit to KL but last minute they changed the flight to SQ and need to transit to Singapore.
So it's just in time to celebrate Tromson's Birthday

There's no perfect gift then spending this precious moment with our beloved family
Tromson absolutely had a blast

Last Saturday, we celebrated Tromson's 3rd Birthday with our Cell Group friends
We had a blast at East Coast. It's a simple celebration but everybody is having fun.
